China’s Gen Z investors are turning fund managers into social media stars

On a fan community page on Chinese social media platform Weibo, hundreds of users have posted comments and pictures, some covered in little red hearts, to express their admiration for a star they affectionately call Kun Kun. “Kun Kun flies bravely, iKun will always follow him; Kun Kun never gets old, and will remain a blue-chip till the end,” some users wrote alongside the picture. “Kun Kun,” whose full name is Zhang Kun, is neither a pop star nor actor. Instead, he is one of China’s most prominent fund managers who oversees around 120 billion yuan ($18.6 billion) in assets at E Fund Management, an established Chinese asset management firm. Zhang’s followers, who label themselves “iKun,” (“i” is a homophone for the Chinese word love), have also created accounts on Weibo posing as his “global fan clubs.” “Kun Kun, I would like to accompany you for many, many years,” a follower wrote. “Let’s witness both the bull and bear markets, but still return with young hearts.” ...

WAAREE ESS Pvt. Ltd, an India-based lithium Ion batteries manufacturer located in Surat in association with M/s ACE Ltd (Action Construction Equipment Ltd), has recently designed, developed and supplied high capacity 23KWhr lithium battery for three Ton fork lift applications. These forklifts equipped with WAAREE lithium batteries have now been deployed at Chennai airport and operating for 12 hrs per day.

We are very excited about this initiative of ours to transform the energy storage for mobility into a smart IoT enabled system with cutting edge technology features for high reliability, safety at a competitive cost. The advanced IOT Battery Management System of WAAREE ESS, as the company informed, with “on the Air” features has helped to dynamically manage the battery parameters and life management which is not possible with the conventional lead acid technology.

One major advantage that lithium batteries have made to get rid of the charging method of the conventional lead acid batteries wherein battery was required to be removed each time from the fork lift and to be bought at the charging station for charging happen, The lithium batteries can also be “opportunity charged” in Situ.
